Will a nose job help my self confidence?

I have had a pretty big bump on the ridge of my nose since I can remember. Now that I am 21 I have really decided to get a nose job. It is something I see every morning and sometimes I feel like guys won't date me because of how my nose looks. I am really doing this because I think I have confidence issues. Please help. --bstiers2
This is a really good question. A lot of times people will get elective surgery because they do not like the way a certain part of their body looks and thus it can really take a toll on your emotional state of being. I do think it can help your self confidence but it is really important to talk to a professional about this. Go in for a consultation with a doctor who specializes in nose jobs (rhinoplasty) and tell them exactly how you feel. You can also take the next step and talk to a counselor as well. I have talked to a number of people who have gone through elective surgery and many did ask "Will a nose job help my self confidence?"...and it really did but remember every situation is different and it is best to talk to a professional. All the best.
