Extreme Plastic Surgery – How Far Would You Go?

In recent years, cosmetic surgery has become more mainstream. With the increased availability of surgical procedures, there are some people who may have gone under the knife a few too many times. A few people have been tweaked, enhanced, and medically corrected beyond recognition. Mother Nature Network recently took a look at several extreme cases of plastic surgery.

Jocelyn Wildenstein, also known as 'cat woman,' may be the most extreme. This NYC socialite has a 'catlike' appearance achieved through millions of dollars in plastic surgery. She reportedly set out to look like a jungle cat because her husband had a private reserve of large cats in Africa. She has undergone facelifts, lip enhancement injections, brow lifts, and fat grafting on the way to her unnatural appearance.

While Jocelyn underwent surgery to look like a cat, another celeb, British musician and performance artist Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, underwent surgery to look more like his wife. He and his late wife Jacqueline Breyer (also known as Lady Jaye) underwent a series of cosmetic surgeries beginning in 2003. They marked their 10-year anniversary with matching breast implants, nose and cheek jobs, liposuction, and other procedures picked to make the couple look like twins. Although his wife died of stomach cancer in 2007, P-Orridge continues on with the project to transform himself into his late wife.

Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was once known for his comedy and flame-red hair. Now, he apparently has a plastic surgery habit that has resulted in an ever-evolving appearance. The 46-year-old comic has apparently gotten Botox injections and brow lifts which, along with suspected steroid use, have transformed his face and body.

Another celeb who has famously undergone too much surgery over the past few years is Heidi Montag. The 24-year-old former star of MTV's “The Hills” underwent a marathon procedure involving 10 separate cosmetic surgeries back in 2009. The surgeries, involving rhinoplasty, breast implants, liposuction, and a brow lift, made her nearly unrecognizable. By December of 2010, Montag regretted her decision, saying “Surgery ruined my career and my personal life and just brought a lot of negativity into my world. I wish I could jump into a time machine and take it all back. Instead, I'm always going to feel like Edward Scissorhands.”
