Courtney Love may be estranged from daughter Frances Bean Cobain, but she's happy about at least one decision her daughter has made recently. On stage at Hiro Ballroom last Tuesday, the 47-year-old rocker mused about her personal life. As Huffington Post explained, she took the opportunity to share some thoughts about Frances Bean Cobain, her 19-year-old daughter with the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.
The musician asked the crowd “How beautiful is my daughter? Did you see that photoshoot from, like, last week?” referring to a series of recently published black-and-white photographs by photographer Hedi Slimane. Many have commented on the striking images, and how much Frances looks like a blend of both her parents. Courtney later dedicated the song “Skinny Little Bitch” to Frances, and then commented “I'm so glad she never got that nose job.”
The comment might seem surprising, given that Courtney herself has spoken openly about the many plastic surgeries she has undergone over the years. She's even spoken extensively about how glad she was to have gotten a nose job herself, since its shape reminded her of her estranged father. Could it be a case of “Do as I say, not as I do?” There's no word yet on why she's so happy Frances hasn't gotten the same procedure.
